Achieves R-38 attic insulation at approximately 10.5" depth. Fills irregular cavities and around obstructions that batts cannot. Requires standard blow-in machine (rentals available at most home centers).

Cellulose insulation manufacturers are one of the most stable buyers of that stream, which is why this product is reliably available and competitively priced. The borate treatment is the same chemistry used in the denim batt — no PBDE, no HBCD, no fluorinated compounds.
